My names's Aeron but I also answer to the nickname of "H".
Why?
A long story.
I was born and bred in the wonderful county of Pembrokeshire.
Having spent a few years away with the Armed Forces I returned to the "shire" at the turn of the century and made a home in a village at the base of the Preseli Hills.
It didn't take long to settle back into the pace of Pembrokeshire life after a couple of hectic years away and this in turn kick started again my love affair of recording,through the medium of photography,some of the sights that make Pembrokeshire such a magical place.
It was something I really missed as while "serving", my time was taken up and photography,for which I've had an interest since I was a child,had to take a "back seat".
I love being there when nature or the weather reveal some of it's ability to inspire awe.
I have moved and lived in different locations since but West Wales calls me back. It always has and I have no doubt it always will.
As mentioned my interest in photography started as a child due to my late father.
An amazing man who gave me the use of an old manual camera made by Zenith. So heavy and solid you could hammer nails with it but a wonderful tool to learn with.
Armed with said camera I headed out to photograph my 2nd love,wildlife!
Since being "home" and picking up my camera again I have had my images in a number of publications and newspapers,local and national. As well having images as part of advertising for some well known tourist attractions in the County.
I sometimes get asked "what else inspires you" and I say "everything".
I try not restrict my myself to one type of image. There is so much out there at first glance that may not mean anything but from another angle?
Speaking to others they say that it's the artist streak that is running down through the blood.
I am directly related to Augustus and Gwen John.
Augustus and myself actually look alike.
So! That's little about me!
